Test Engineer – Direct Fastening

What does the role involve?

As a Test Engineer in Direct Fastening Product Care, your role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of products throughout their lifecycle. This involves developing comprehensive test plans, identifying and troubleshooting issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address defects and implementing solutions to improve product performance and customer satisfaction. 

Your role also entails collaborating closely with product development teams to understand the product requirements and design appropriate testing strategies. You share your findings with project and steering committees, promoting transparent and straightforward communication within project teams and with management. Furthermore, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, leveraging automation tools and techniques wherever possible to streamline testing efforts and improve overall efficiency. To further deepen your initial leadership experience, you will coordinate tasks and workflows with internal and external partners, as well as supervise and coach external employees.

We will accompany you intensively in your onboarding and support you both in the challenging technical tasks and through coaching and mentoring.

What you need is:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related disciplines
  • Experience in product testing or product development in an industrial or academic environment
  • Strong affinity for practical activities and the ability to both identify and solve problems
  • High team orientation with very good communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment. International experience in the form of work experience, internships, or semesters abroad are an advantage
  • Fluent English required, knowledge of German is an advantage
