I joined Hilti by the open recruitment process from Hilti Asia during my university studies in Sydney, Australia. My first year at Hilti was a completely new experience for me. In my role as Design Engineer we often talk about customer engagement and how to specify Hilti’s innovative solution to the construction industry. Following this, during my second year at Hilti, I got an opportunity to join the Regional Leadership Development Program. It was an amazing experienced and made me realize how serious Hilti was in developing their people. This year, I have started a new role in Business Development for the On-Shore Segment. The global customer relationships with customers required in this role has opened my eyes to the scale of Hilti’s offering.
 
Overall I have experienced a lot in my career with Hilti. The opportunities to interact and learn with people both locally and internationally are fascinating. I’m also delighted that I am continually challenged with new tasks and projects.
 
The one thing that makes Hilti special is about how strongly they believe in their people. I believe it is really beneficial, especially for young people, to work in company who want to develop their people to be the best.

I first heard of Hilti through team members who shared what a great company this is to work for. I’ve always been interested in tools and construction materials, so a job at Hilti seemed like the perfect opportunity to apply my engineering skills to a subject I enjoy. My first role at Hilti was through the internship program while completing my Mechanical Engineering degree at Oklahoma State University. I first served as Technical Marketing Assistant, then Power Tools and Accessories Specialist. During the program, I gained real-world experience, which prepared me for my career and gave me an advantage over many of my peers in school. It also helped me understand the functions within Hilti so that I had a better idea of where I wanted to go with my career. After graduation, I accepted a role as a Technical Support Engineer and have continued to explore new roles in engineering. In my time at Hilti, I’ve grown and developed in new and different ways with each role I’ve held. I feel that each role has been another step toward furthering my abilities and reaching my career goals.
