I joined Hilti 20 years ago, intending to stay for three to five years, and here I still am! The job is so diverse and technically challenging that you can never get bored.

I started in the materials team in corporate research and then moved into various development roles in different business units. I’ve spent my entire career making holes, using cutting materials and developing insert tools.

I love the variety to my day, as I work with different Hilti teams, as well as our manufacturing plants and external partners. Part of my job is to get involved with the wider industry. I organize and take part in European conferences, and bring companies and universities together to collaborate on projects. It’s about driving the industry forward and being at the forefront of that.
