Career history at Hilti
Profile summary
After graduating from HS, I moved to the US from the Middle East to pursue a career at the intersection of Art & Science. I completed my Bachelor’s in Architecture and Master’s in Civil Engineering and went on to become a licensed Professional Engineer. After working in consulting for almost 14 years, and designing hundreds of buildings, the charm had worn off. I felt it was time to take on bigger and better challenges and step out of my comfort zone, that is when I first learned Hilti hires engineers!
I joined Hilti as a Structural Engineer in the Project Management Office. During this time, I was able to gain a deep understanding in product knowledge, while also having exposure to our Marketing and Sales structure. I further enhanced my expertise when I moved into a Product Management role. This gave me an insight in R&D, materials management, forecasting, and logistics. Every role I’ve held at Hilti has taught me diverse skills, making me more agile.
Lifelong learning (especially for an engineer) is part of life. When I took on the Division Engineering Manager role, I was ready to start giving back. I wanted to pass on my knowledge and help guide the younger generation to reach their career goals. Although it has been a whirlwind, fast-paced journey thus far, I wouldn’t change it. I feel I’m in the right place at the right time in my current role.
Your career at Hilti is not limited to the degree you hold, or your work experience. There aren’t many companies out there with this kind of flexibility. But what really keeps me here is the caring culture, not just for its employees, but for the greater good of the world. My only regret is not joining Hilti sooner.

Profile summary
I was ultimately drawn to Hilti’s caring culture and strong reputation in the construction industry. Starting my career as a Technical Services Engineer, I had the opportunity to support designers & contractors across North America, and work closely with Hilti’s product testing & development engineers. Transitioning to a Field Engineer, I’ve had the privilege of being involved in the largest and most transformative projects in the region. The largest challenge of my career thus far has been navigating through a global pandemic that drastically affected how design teams & contractors go to work every day.
Hilti is a fantastic advocate of career development by offering numerous opportunities to participate in learning and training programs based on the team members desired career path. Hilti is truly special because of their investment in team members and a true family culture.

I joined Hilti two and a half years ago as a project manager in the corporate research team. There I worked on different research projects relating to innovative products and manufacturing technologies.
The training at Hilti is about building a great workforce for the future. It’s also very personalized. For me, I was fortunate to go on a development program called ‘Impact’, which looks at leadership skills, project management and cross-functional collaboration.
My latest career step sees me as head of unit engineering for Hilti’s nail manufacturing in Liechtenstein. While the role is a great challenge, it’s an amazing experience to put into place all the learnings and skills that I’ve gained in the company along the way.

A year of travel after college gave me the desire to work internationally. I joined Hilti and soon saw the opportunity to reach a dream goal. My first roles in sales and technical support enabled me to better understand our customers and specifiers across the United States. In many cases, I was able to help designers solve typical field challenges early before they ever occurred on site.
Hilti has always empowered me to chart my own path. After a few years in the field, I pursued my master’s degree in Business Administration. My MBA led to a sales management role and gave me an educated overview of our industry and how to leverage my experience to make a positive impact on sales results through my team.
When the opportunity arose to join our global team at our headquarters in Schaan, Liechtenstein I jumped at the chance. It was thrilling! I will never forget one of my first projects where we workshopped the future of sales and marketing in a constantly evolving and digital world. I am so proud to have been a part of shaping our future.
Regardless of my role, I know my success is the direct result of the multiple, supportive people around me. In my current team, we challenge each other to outperform our goals and deliver results. This supportive and encouraging atmosphere has been a common thread in every team throughout the years.
The most rewarding aspect in my career has and continues to be the connection to our customers and specifier partners. Side by side in the office or on a jobsite we strive to bring the innovation that helps them be successful and productive. It is so satisfying to know that you helped make someone’s life better and safer. That is meaningful to me.
